label inside this ca 1837-38 shelf clock. The unusual
designed case is 22.25"

The movements for this
model came two ways, both
were the OG type, one with
solid wheels and had an
enlarged center opening of
the dial. It is thought that was done so people could see
thatitwasnotawoodmovement.Themovementinthis

Sangamo gallery clock. Metal label on the back says in
part, "Sangamo Clock / Sangamo
Electric Company / Springfield,
Illinois USA". Collectors in
Illinois tell us the Sangamo

thatiseverythingbutthebanjo
clocks. Well here it is, a red
painted iron case, almost 12"
wide on the back, 8.25" silver
dial, heavy iron hinged bezel over
the dial. The dial is signed, and in very good condition.
No electric wires on the back, just the connectors to
hook the wires to. $100-$200.

$75
Glass Novelty clock, signed "Made In U.S.A." on the
dial and back plate. There are several patent dates on
the back, the last is 1908. All original
and everything is excellent and per-
fect. I am not an authority on glass;
some parts feel like "cut glass", some
do not. It is very attractive and I guess
if it turns out to be cut glass someone
will have a very nice clock. It is 5.5"
high, and is running. $100-$200.

Glass Novelty clock, signed on the dial, "Made In
U.S.A.". Not signed on the back. Not as

on the back, hardly worth mention-
ing. It is running. $50-$100.
