$100
Seth Thomas miniature clock called
"Round Band", ca 1874. Slightly
different from what we confuse with
an OG. It has a rolled band around
the outside edge of the case, and the
door. Veneered section between the
rolls angle inward toward the door.
This clock is an untouched and com-
pletely original 8 day model. The
mahogany veneered case is 17" high
and very nice except for a tiny corner
nick or two. Original reverse painted
tablet has very few paint flakes, orig-
inal top glass, and dial and ST hands.
The dial has what is normal for ST
dials, some flaking. This rare model
is time, strike, and alarm. Strikes a
coil gong and alarms on an iron bell.
The large 8 day movement is running and it still has the Geneva stops in
place. Complete label inside with a Thomaston address. A nice all origi-
nal clock. Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 655-656. $200-$300.

Junghans RA, wall clock, with a
bell on top of the case, ca 1900.
The top is missing, one side glass is
missing, and otherwise the case is
fine. Without the top the case is 26"
high. Two piece plastic type dial is
crinkled, signed Junghans, has old
hands, beat scale, and a nice ornate
pendulum bob. The bell on top is
held by a bracket that would be
hidden by the top, if it were there.
The movement is 8 day, and strikes
the bell of course on the hours. The
movement is complete but I did not
test it for running. $100-$200.

Pair of metal statues. They may be
French but they resemble Ansonia's
Hunter and Fisher. The taller one is
20" tall. I cannot say they are a match-
ing pair although they have similari-
ties. There is a small damaged place
on the base of one statue. There is no
finish on either of them. $50-$100.

"The National Clock & Mfg. Co. /
Chicago, Ill., U.S.A.", copied from
the label on the back of this early
mission clock. This company was a
clock dealer, selling thru outlets,
advertising
in
newspapers
and
national magazines. They sold clocks
for Sessions, Ingraham, and possibly
other companies. This wood case is
in "as found" condition, it is dirty and
the brass numerals, hands, and beat
scale, have never been polished. The
case is 25.5" high, complete, has no
damage or repairs, just dirty and a
scratch or hauling scrape may be
found. $100-$150.

"L. & F. Andrews, / Bristol, Conn.",
shelf clock, ca 1836-1843. This com-
pany made 30 hour OG and other
shelf clocks with wood movements.
This case probably had a wood
movement originally, now with an
unsigned 30 hour brass movement, of
the OG type. The old original wood
dial that went with the wood move-
ment now has the holes filled, new
ones drilled to fit this brass move-
ment, and a paper dial glued to the
wood dial. The backboard label is
almost
perfect.
28"
mahogany
veneered case is not bad, and it has
small veneer repairs on the top and
base. The sides are rounded on the
case and the door has a beveled look.
Both big glasses may be original,
middle glass replaced. There are two
holes in the base of the case, for what
purpose I do not know. $50-$100

Mission wall clock, ca early 1900's.
Unsigned movement is 8 day, time only.
Brass numerals, hands, beat scale, and pen-
dulum. The bottom board broke off from the
back but was reattached. You cannot tell
from the front. Neither the 24" oak case, nor
the brass parts, have ever been cleaned. It
isn't much, but it is a clock. $10-$25.
