Musical Photo Album, ca
about 1915. There are
fourteen
pages/leaves,
that would hold pictures
front and back, some
early Pennsylvania family pictures
are still in place. The music box
plays two Hit Parade tunes, "The
Tale of the Turtle Dove", and "Just a
Gleam of Heaven in Her Eyes".
There is a nice brass latch to hold it
all together, and the corners have
metal covers. On the front is a
charming rural scene. Considering
its age, it is excellent. $200-$300.

"Elisha Manross / Bristol, Conn.", 30 hour
steeple clock, ca 1843. Untouched 20" high
mahogany veneered case with sharp pointed
finials and original glasses. The finish is
crusty, never cleaned and the veneer is hold-
ing very satisfactorily. Good painted tablet
featuring a hot air balloon. Excellent painted
dial, one or both hands are not original, old
brass pendulum bob, brass door latch, and a
near perfect paper label inside. Brass move-
ment is running and striking an early type
wire gong. Early and original clock. $100-
$150.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. one of their
College Series clocks, "New York",
ca 1900. A very nice, original oak
case, standing 23.5" high, has all its
original parts, no repairs or alter-
ations. Except two. Some collectors
get their jollies out of refinishing a
clock. Everything about this case
was cleaned, backboard front and
back (of course there went the label),
case front and sides, all the internal
things like movements, gong, etc.
For some unfathomable reason he
put on a new dial, and drilled five
extra holes in the dial ring. There are
now 8 when only 3 are used. This
clock has the correct pendulum bob
and hanger, Cathedral gong, alarm
and alarm bell, and a signed 8 day
movement. It is running and still a
very nice clock. For this minimum you can look past the problems. Ly-

Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. walnut
parlor clock, "Hanover", ca 1891.
An eye catching case with points
sticking out everywhere, some
applied pieces, and sections with
grooved designs. A very nice fin-
ish on the 22" high case and it has
an original Gilbert glass. It has a
very nice pendulum with leaves
and slow-fast adjuster, also signed
by the Wm L. Gilbert Clock Co.
Replaced dial paper, hands are the
type it should have, but there is no
label because the backboard has
been refinished, front and back.
The entire case has been cleaned
and polished. The dial rings, gong
and gong base, and the alarm set
ring, are all nickel plated. The
movement is 8 day, signed, run-
ning, and striking the Cathedral
gong, and the alarm rings on the nickel gong base. Ly-Gilbert #1172.
$150-$250.

New Haven Clock Co. walnut
parlor clock, "Osage", ca 1885.
This is an early clock, which
usually means it is made with
more care, better designs, and
better ornaments. The case is
21" tall, very clean and polished,
looks like it just came from the
factory. Someone did a lot of
work to get the goop off and
restore the natural beauty. The
glass has been replaced but it
sure looks like it could be origi-
nal. Original signed dial, old
hands, one of New Haven's best
pendulum bobs with a needle
adjuster to regulate slow-fast.
On the back is most all of the
original paper label. The move-
ment is 8 day, signed, running,
and striking a coil gong. Ly-

E. Ingraham Clock Co. oak kitchen
clock, "Detroit", ca around 1900.
About half of the label remains on the
back, but the important parts, clock
name and company name and address
are intact. The oak case is 23.5" high,
has been cleaned and polished, looks
very nice, none of the black smoke
remaining. Unusual and original glass
tablet, "Time Is Money". Old dial has
oil stains and I question if the paper is
original, but it has been on a long time.
Correct pendulum, hands, gong and
base, and the alarm movement and
bell that it rings on. Thermometer at
the top is a replacement and easily
removed if you desire. Level on the
base is original. The 8 day movement
is signed, running, and performing as
it should. This clock, although an authentic Ingraham, is not listed in Ly-
Ingraham. $150-$250.
