E. N. Welch Mfg. Co. walnut parlor
clock made for either the Colby Wringer
Co. or Baird & Dillon. The two compa-
nies awarded the clocks to customers or
employees, the exact purpose is un-
known. There is no label on the back, the
movement is original to the case and is
signed by Welch. It has a correct Welch
pressed glass pendulum, and all internal
movements, running and alarm, and a
bell for the alarm and a gong for the
strike. The dial paper is a replacement,
the glass is of the type Welch used but
since it has been out of the door I cannot
guarantee it is original to this clock. I sus-
pect it was removed when the case was
cleaned, and they are never reinstalled
the second time properly. $250-$350.

$175
French glass dresser clock made with cut and
pressed glass, trimmed with bronze castings. When
I got this clock out of the box I knew I had a win-
ner. I ran upstairs and told my wife, look what I
found. She said, it is nice, but we do not have room
for another clock. Back to the basement, and I still
think it is very nice. It is 13.5" tall, complete, has
no chips or breaks. Bowed and beveled glass over
the dial, bowed porcelain dial, and nice little brass
hands. It also has a glass and bezel on the back. It
takes a 3" winding key to reach the arbor. I finally
found one, wound the movement and it has been
running right along. Neither the case nor move-
ment is signed. $250-$500.
