$250
Waterbury Clock Co. fancy mantle
parlor clock, "Hudson", ca 1893.
Another of the very nice mantle clocks
we acquired two years ago from an
Indiana collector. He accumulated
them over a lifetime of collecting
unusual and near perfect clocks. Two
very small things keep it from being
near original, a new paper dial and
some loss of the paper label on the
back. The label is about 25%, but
enough present to identify the name
and maker of the clock. Nickel acces-
sories are the signed bob, gong base,
dial rings, and matching silver glass.
There is even a signed Waterbury key.
The movement is 8 day and strikes on
a gong. This clock also has an alarm
movement in the base, and alarm set
ring in the dial. They don't come much nicer than this. Ly-Waterbury
#1623. $300-$500.

Charlie
Holland,
Fort
Smith,
Arkansas, mirrorside case with an
old E. N. Welch 8 day movement,
gong, and pendulum bob. Beautiful
24.5" high walnut case made as
only Charlie Holland could make
them, near perfect when compared
to any company's mirrorside cases.
Note that all the metal ornaments,
finials, top ornament, dial, hands,
gong, and pendulum, are like the
originals. This clock has an 8 day
signed E. N. Welch movement that
is running and striking. The dial is
signed "Ingraham" and it has an
alarm set ring, but there is no
alarm. It was put there for looks I
suppose. The southwest folks who
collect Holland clocks will love
this one. $250-$500.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Office Calendar
No.13", case and dials only. This case is an
exact copy of the original No. 13's, includ-
ing the carved sections, grooves, and etched
places. The solid oak case is 49" high, very
heavy, well constructed, has key locks on the
door, painted metal dials, and brass dial
rings around both dials. Buy the movements,
either old or new and you will have a nice
clock, that if original, would be worth $8000
or more. Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 256-257.
$250-$350.

$175
Novelty animated US flag, made by
the "Peace-Time Clock Company",
Chicago, Illinois (Copyright-1940)
The flag drops in a slot on top of the
movement. As the clock runs the flag
turns round and round. The clock and
flag are in like new condition, in the
original box, and is running as
intended. Signed several places. The
front of the clock is 7.5" wide, 5.5"
high, and with the flag in place
would be 7.5" high also. $200-$300.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. hanging cal-
endar clock, ca 1910. The case is not
pictured in any Seth Thomas publica-
tion except Ly-Seth Thomas #205,
where it is shown as a clock made for
the "Larkin Soap Company". I am
unable to dig up anything on that
company, but I suspect the clock pic-
tured had advertising on the glass or
case, for the soap company. The oak
case is 35" high, near perfect inside
and outside, no label front or back,
paper dial is original and is signed
two places by Seth Thomas, and the
brass 8 day time and calendar move-
ment is also signed two ways by Seth
Thomas. The heavily constructed
case, door lock, hinges, hands, and
pendulum bob and stick, are all typi-
cal Seth Thomas stock. Some wear on
the paper dial, otherwise the clock is
super nice, running, and calendar
changing. $300-$500.

$200
Waterbury Clock Co. parlor calendar
clock, "Winthrop", ca 1885. An unex-
citing walnut parlor clock on the out-
side, but inside it is exciting, it has an
8 day movement that not only regu-
lates the time and strike, but has a
simple calendar. Showing is a signed
Waterbury calendar dial, Waterbury
hands, signed Waterbury gong base,
and a very nice Waterbury nickel pen-
dulum (missing the needle indicator),
and a near perfect door glass.
Remnants of labels on the back, but
they are of no value. The walnut case
is 19" high, clean and complete. Ly-
Waterbury #1689. $200-$300.
