American novelty clock, metal case fea-
turing a lady by the clock, covered with
gilt. It stands 7.5" high, complete, about
half of the bright gilt remaining. Perfect
porcelain dial with seconds dial, three
original hands, and dial is signed,
"Made In U.S.A.". Recently serviced, it
is running. Back wind and set, all knobs
are original. There are some factory
names and numbers on the base, cannot
read them. $200-$300.

Western Clock Co. Novelty clock, featuring a
cast ornament attached to the case body, featur-
ing barely clothed young woman contemplating
what to remove next. The nice metal case is
11.5" high, signed only, "Pat Pend". Bowed
glass over the plastic dial, good hands, backwind
and set movement, serviced and running. $175-
$225.

signed on the perfect dial of this
polished copper gallery clock.
This is a secondary clock that has
been converted with a battery
holder and circuit board to give
the clock an "impulse" every
minute so a signal from a master
clock is not needed to run the
clock. The signed dial is 12",
hands are original, glass is origi-
nal, and the copper case has been
polished to perfection. This clock
is pictured in Ly-American, Volume 2, #424. $350-$500.

French Novelty clock featuring a Dutch
girl beside a grandfather clock, holding
an umbrella in her right hand. She is
wearing the Dutch wood shoes and a
Dutch hat. The metal case is 13" tall,
complete, and there is no damage except
normal wear. Bowed glass over the silver
dial. Three correct hands, dial is signed,
"Made In France". Back wind and set
movement is running, alarm sets and
turns off on the back, alarm dial is on the
front. The movement plate is signed,
"Brevete S.G.D.G.". The base of the case
has an official "fabrication" stamp that
also says, "Made In France / Paris". $300-
$400.

French Novelty clock featuring a Dutch bob
beside an identical grandfather clock as pic-
tured in #416. He is pulling the chain to
raise the weights. Almost identical to #416,
bowed glass over the silver dial, alarm dial
on the front, three correct hands, backwind
and set movement is running. Knobs are
original as is everything about the clock. It
is a 13" metal case, dial signed, "Made In
France". Identical movement and back
plate, but this back plate has the same word-
ing as on #416 except there is more ver-
biage. The base of the case has the same fab-
rication stamp as #416. This pair of rare
clocks makes an excellent exhibit of rare
novelty clocks. $300-$400.

German Novelty clock featuring a German
Drummer Boy. Metal case is 11.25" high
and in "as found" condition, which is dirty,
probably never washed or polished. It is
complete, signed "Germany" on the base,
and "Made In Germany" on the dial. Flat
glass over the good two piece dial, correct
hands, dial ring, and sash. Backwind and set
movement is running, but it is dirty like the
case and cannot be expected to run for any
length of time without service. $300-$400.

novelty, "Gilt, No.243", ca 1900.
This case features two cupids hold-
ing a clock. It is complete, all orig-
inal, enameled gold finish is origi-
nal, was never a bright gold. It
stands 9.5" high, back wind and set,
knobs are original, and it runs. The
excellent dial is signed, "Made In
U.S.A.". Original hands, glass, and
silver sash. Ly-Gilbert #1361.
