Waterbury Clock Co.
"Library" wall clock, ca
1906. Dark, but very
clean, 42" high oak case,
excellent distribution of
the oak grain, all origi-
nal and in near perfect
condition. Good labels on the
back, applied wood carved and
pressed ornaments all over the
case, top to bottom, and the
sides. Perfect 7" porcelain
enamel dial, good Waterbury
hands, correct Waterbury bob
with wood stick, old ladder
chains and twisted weights,
everything original to the case.
The 8 day movement is signed,
and is running and striking
properly. There are no extra
holes around the dial or move-
ment. This clock is as nice and
original as you will find. Ly-
Waterbury #588. This model
has always been valued over
$3000. $2750-$3250.

Wm. L. Gilbert Clock
Co. mantle calendar
clock, "Oriental", ca
1901. It is over 100
years old, but is near
perfect. Oh sure, it has
a crusty finish and it is
dark, but the walnut case
has not been monkeyed
with. It has no problems
or
anything
new
or
repaired. It is tough to
describe a clock this nice. I
would not feel comfortable
writing one line that says,
"110 year old clock near per-
fect", so I will ramble on and
on trying to convince some
skeptics that the inside back-
board label, inside door label,
and outside backboard label,
are all near perfect. In addi-
tion, the original glass has a
super original painting of
birds, the movements are correct and functioning properly, and the dial,
hands, and pendulum, are all correct. The movement is signed, has the
alarm feature as well as half hour strike, and is connected to the calendar
movement correctly. This is a great clock and worthy to be a part of some-
one's collection. I still say one sentence would have sufficed. Ly-Gilbert,
page 79. We have sold this model infrequently, but when this nice they
have brought up to $3500. $2500-$3500.

Ansonia Clock Co. "Banjo No.1", ca 1924.
This is the first of the three clocks in the series,
all very rare, with "chipped glasses". Original
mahogany case is 18½" high, three original
beveled glasses, eagle and side ornaments are
dark and unpolished, 8 day time lever move-
ment is running, silver plated dial is signed and
shows no wear. Collectors tell us they have
never seen this mini banjo. We sold one in our
October 2005 auction for near $6000. Ly-
Ansonia #97. $2500-$5000.

$3000
Ansonia Clock Co. "Banjo No.2", ca 1924.
This model is said to be the rarest of the
three. It has a "Dual Chimetone" pendulum
8 day movement, striking on two "sweet-
toned" chime rods on hours and half hours. It
is running and striking correctly. This case is
40½" high, all original and in very good con-
dition. The case is very dark, probably never
cleaned, but the brass is cleaner than #11, yet
not polished. Ly-Ansonia #96. $3000-$5000.
RARE set of Ansonia Clock Co. "Beveled-Chipped Glass" banjo
clocks. The value and charm of these banjo clocks is in the glasses. If they
are broken, chipped, or cracked, the value would decline. None of the
glasses in the three clocks have those problems. All have 8 day move-
ments, genuine mahogany hand rubbed cases, silver plated dials, and
bronze finished eagles and side ornaments. We are offering them individ-
ually and as a set. If the bid for the set is greater than the three individu-
ally, we will sell them as a set, otherwise they will go individually.
