$750
Ansonia Clock Co. Royal
Bonn case, "La Vendee", ca
1904. There may be more
La Vendee clocks around
than any other model. It was
one of their most poplar
case styles and we have sold
more of them than any other
model. Signed Royal Bonn
on the back, in red, before it
was fired in the kiln. This
case is primarily green with
flowers painted over the
front and sides. Flowers are
mostly pinks, lavender, yel-
lows, etc. This is a large
case standing 14.5" high
and 13" wide. It may be the
widest of the Royal Bonn cases. Bezel, dial, back door, movement, pen-
dulum, etc. are all near perfect. Ly-Ansonia, page 638. The last sale we
had of this model it brought nearly $1350. $850-$1000.

Ansonia Clock Co. Royal
Bonn, "No.503", ca 1900. This
clock does not have a name,
but will sometime soon. Over
the years unnamed clocks
acquire a name because a case
will turn up somewhere that
has a name on the back of the
case. I have discovered some
new names no longer than I
have been holding auctions
and looking at thousands of
clocks. For whatever reason
the last No.503 we sold was in
June 2004, and it brought
almost $1800. Someone knows
something, wouldn't you say?
This case is 14" high, and 11"
wide. Primarily white with
some beautiful painted flowers
all over and a smidgen of gold to highlight. Like all the others, near per-
fect. Ly-Ansonia, page 630. $1000-$1250.

$650
Ansonia Clock Co. Royal Bonn, "La
Mayenne", ca 1904. I have sold at
least 200-300 Ansonia Royal Bonn
clocks over the years, but have never
seen this model. It must be rare. It is
13.25" high and light in color featur-
ing baby blue and white as the pri-
mary colors and the usual pink, yel-
low, and lavender flowers front and
sides, with just enough gold on the
edges to set it off perfectly. Note the
open bridge on top and just below the
open span is a heart shaped orna-
ment. There are columns on the front
with capitals and bases. It has the
usual accessories and is complete and
near perfect. Ly-Ansonia #2528.
$750-$1000.

Ansonia Clock Co. Royal
Bonn, "La Verdon", ca
1901. Another large case,
stands 14.25" high and
13.5"
wide.
The
large
Ansonia case always fetch
more money and are far
more poplar than their poor
relatives. This case catches
your eyes as Royal Blue,
then you notice the lighter
color in the center where
all the nicely painted roses
and other flowers show off
their pinks, lavenders, yel-
lows, and the usual sprin-
kling of gold. A very nice
looking clock that has all
the attached inner workings that are near perfect. All the movements in
these ten clocks are clean, signed, and running. Ly-Ansonia #2642. The
last one of this model we sold brought over $1175. $850-$1050.

$700
Ansonia Clock Co. Royal
Bonn, "La Layon", ca 1904.
This is a very large appearing
clock, probably because of the
two handles on the sides. The
case is 14.5" high and 15"
wide, which is wide for these
clocks. It has been one of our
favorite Royal Bonn's and we
kept one on our bedroom
dresser for 10 years until I was
given permission to sell it. It is
very colorful, primarily greens,
but has an unusual amount of
gold, more than I have ever
seen on one of their models.
There are some large painted roses, mostly in yellows and lavender
shades. The clock like all the others is near perfect, has all the original
accessories, and is running. Ly-Ansonia, pages 636-637. We usually get
$1000-$1250 for this model. $800-$1000.

$700
Ansonia Clock Co. Royal Bonn,
"No. 502", ca 1900. Another
Ansonia clock we have no name
for yet. But we will, it is a matter
of time, and looking at a large
number of clocks. This is an
extremely attractive clock, knob
on top, finials and things protrud-
ing from the case. It is primarily
green and white, painted flowers
of many colors, all soft and
appealing, and the usual gold
splashes. One thing you notice that
is unusual is the loop of flowers all
around the bezel. The case is 13.5"
high, in near perfect condition, and
has all the accessories required.
We cannot find any record where
we have ever sold this model
before. Ly-Ansonia #2672. $750-$1000.
