Horton's Antique Clocks
This is a complete set of the rare Ansonia porcelain crystal regulators,
No. 1 thru No. 8. We know of only one other complete set, although we
know of many partial sets that are usually missing the No. 7 and/or the
No.8 models. We bought this set from Jean Braucht a few years ago. She
and her husband collected them over a 50 year period and at one time had
two complete sets plus some extras. Some clocks in this set are pictured
in Ly-Ansonia, pages 134-138. All eight clocks are museum quality, per-
fect and original.
These clocks were cleaned, polished, and serviced, as the Brauchts
acquired them many years ago, and are in perfect, like new condition. If
you collect only original clocks that show wear and tarnish, these are not
for you. The Brauchts proudly displayed them in lighted glass cases, and
would not display them until they were perfectly clean and like new.
Collectors from coast to coast visited them to view this rare collection.
Our descriptions will be brief as the clocks are perfect, and have identi-
cal movements and gongs, and the dials, hands, and pendulums are visible
in the pictures. Each clock has a signed Ansonia two prong winding key.
The clocks are offered individually and as a group. If the bid for the set of
eight exceeds the total of the eight individual bids, they will be sold as a set.
