$40
Plate clock, signed, "Eight Days /
Made In Germany". Blue and white
Dutch scenes on the 9" porcelain
plate. No breaks or chips, original
pendulum bob, and a German key.
The movement is complete, we did
not try to run the clock. It may need to
be serviced. $50-$100.

E. Ingraham Co. black mantle
clock, ca 1907. Enameled wood
case is 11" high, six metal orna-
ments on the front, fancy dial
and bezel. 8 day movement, run-
ning, striking a cathedral gong.
It is what it is, some restoration,
but a good little mantle clock for
this
minimum.
Ly-Ingraham
does not show this particular
model, but has several very sim-
ilar. $50-$100.

$60
New Haven Clock Co., "Sharp Gothic", ca
1886. The front looks to have flame
mahogany veneer, the side's plain mahogany
veneer, and the case is standing about 19.5"
high. Excellent veneer except for some chips
on the base. Good pointed original finials,
excellent glass with bright colors of bird and
leaves. Original painted metal dial, original
hands, pendulum bob, and old winding key.
Inside are about one third of a paper label, a
coil gong, and a 30 hour unsigned movement
that is running and striking. The clock is
identical to case and movement pictured in
Ly-New Haven, page 301. $75-$125.

$85
Gilbert Manf. Co. cottage mantle clock,
"Favorite", ca 1881. Clean little 13.5"
mahogany veneered case that has only a
couple of veneer chips. Gold band
around the door, original tablet featur-
ing flowers, original top glass, good
painted dial, old hands, brass bob, and a
key. Complete paper label inside. The
internal parts include a 30 hour,
unsigned, movement, running but needs
service. It has an alarm movement that
rings on the same iron bell that the
clock strikes hours on. Ly-Gilbert

Seth Thomas Clock Co. ships
clock, and a project clock. The
brass case, screw on bezel with
glass, and the signed dial, are all
correct. Married to the dial is a
Japanese movement. I would not
think it runs for the escapement is
in a bag behind the movement.
The dial is signed, "Seth Thomas
/ U.S. Maritime / Commission /
Made in U.S.A.". $50-$100.

$35
American made novel-
ty clock. Made of
wood and brass, it is
about 12" wide, 7.5"
high, appears to be
complete except if it
had
some
kind
of
cover over the back
opening, it is missing.
Beveled glass, good
dial, three hands, hour
hand broken, piece saved, inside in a bag. The backwind and set move-
ment is running. The dial is signed, "Made in U.S.A.", and that is the only
identification showing. $50-$100.

E. N. Welch Mfg. Co. an OG clock the
Welch company called, "OG No.2", ca
1883. Mahogany veneered case is 26"
high and in exceptionally nice condition.
There are no veneer problems or repairs,
just smoke dark, original crusty finish,
but looks good. Excellent label, good
glasses, although the painted tablet is not
original
it
does
look
very
good.
Repainted dial is nice except for the
homespun Welch signature. Old iron
weights, original 30 hour brass move-
ment, coil gong, old brass bob, and a
winding key. A nice clock for beginning
collectors. Buying OG's is how I got
started, and look how far I have come,
one step from the loony bin. Ly-Welch
#373. $75-$150.

Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. miniature
porcelain clock, "Fern", ca 1904. It
is only 6.25" high, decorated in
green and gold, plus some painted
flowers on the front and sides. We
have not sold a nicer mini porcelain
than this one. Everything is clean
and bright including the dial, sash,
dial ring, hands including seconds
hand, the brass back cover, and the
original winding knobs. The case is
signed "Fern" on the back. One day
time only movement is running. If
you collect the miniature china
clocks, this one is very, very, nice.
Ly-Gilbert #1579. $100-$150.
