German mantle clock, wood case 11" high. Probably
missing some little ornament on top as there is a slot to
accommodate something. Nice
little case, has some carved
ornaments, grooves and other do
dads. Front and back latching
doors, good dial and hands, and a
Cathedral gong. Movement is 8
day, pendulum movement, half

$25
German mantle clock, wood case, 14" high including
metal handle. Not a real old clock, balance movement
signed by " elby Corporation /
Germany". 8 day balance movement
is sluggish, needs oil. Five ham-
mers on the movement but no
gong. New paper dial. Not much
of a clock now, needs help. $25-
$50.

$25
German cuckoo clock. There are no weights, hands, or
pendulum. Case is complete with top, back door with
gong, unsigned movement and bel-
lows, all appear in good shape. The
case is about 15" high. $25-$50.

$25
One of those clocks I cannot put a name to. This one is
wood except for the weight which is iron. It is 15" tall,
not including the weight or cord. The weight drives the
wood gears, the cross bar on top rocks back and
forth releasing the power. Just a novelty, not a
accurate timepiece. $25-$50.

$10
Another one of "them", whatever it is. Same as #763
except this one is plastic. $10-$25.

$25
Japanese oak cased short drop, 8 day time and strike.
Plenty of complete labels, great 22" case, dial, hands,
pendulum, and gong. 8 day movement
with a fine brass pendulum that looks
like a Gilbert. If it were a desirable
American clock I would estimate
its value at $100 or more. $25-$50.
769.
$25
Japanese short drop clock, 8 day time and strike. The
top edge is carved all around and painted black for
emphasis. Good 21.5" high case. The
door hinge is loose, will need some
attention. Good brass bezel, glass,
dial and hands. Some of the label
inside is missing, original gong in
place, and the good 8 day brass
movement. $25-$50.
760.
$50
English style roll bottom, wall clock. ood case is 22"
tall. ou must admit we have clocks for every pocket-
book and every taste. I can see this red
stripped clock being used by a decora-
tor to accent something. The 8 day
spring, pendulum movement, is
signed, "SK", the dial is signed,
"CM". I don't have a clue what
either means, who made the clock,
etc. My first reaction was it was a
Japanese made clock. $50-$100.
761.
$25
New wall clock, wood case, 23" high. No label, noth-
ing on the dial, I did not feel inclined to pull the dial and
look at the movement. It may be a
Lenzkirsch, then I may win the lot-
tery this week. It looks good even if
you never wind it. Just tell your rel-
atives you bought it in Horton's auc-
tion and they will think you have a
great clock. $25-$50.
765.
$25
Standing Mission clock, about 5'8" tall. Case looks to
be complete, except for a pendulum and a correct
weight. Box over the small time only
movement. Not signed anywhere, and
does not look like any mission clocks in
the Ly clock books. $25-$50.
766.
$25
aterbury Clock Co. enameled iron case with bronze
ornaments on the sides. There is no movement, dial,
etc. Case stands 10.75" high. $25-
$50.

$50
Seth Thomas Clock Co. short drop, ca 1930's. Oak case
is 21" high and in good clean condition. Good dial,
hands, barrel pendulum, and a com-
plete paper label on the back. $50-
$100.

$50
New short drop clock, with a Mason & Sullivan, est
Germany, 8 day movement. The oak case is very heavy,
very nice, and all original. The light
oak case is 22" tall, nothing
replaced, no repairs, pendulum,
gong and movement all original
to the case. est German move-
ment dates the clock to the
1970's, but it does not look like
it has been used. ould make a
great gift. $50-$100.

$50
"Ansonia Brass And Clock Company / Ansonia, Conn.
/ Patent Brass Clocks", ca 1869. Mahogany veneered
case is 26" high, overall very nice
with some tiny chips around the
outside edge. For its age the case
is good. The longer I do this the
less I trust my judgment about
additions to a clock. Both glasses
could be original but the additions
to the top glass has to have been
added. ou have to like the bottom
glass, there have been some touch
up to the painting, but I cannot
swear the painting is original. The
metal dial is good but the brass
thing around the hand arbor I have
never seen before so have to say it was added.
Complete paper label, correct bob and hands, one
weight is original, one is not, and the brass 30 hour
movement and coil gong are original. A very good
starter clock. Ly-Ansonia #1693. $50-$100.
