New Haven Clock Co. banjo "Winetka", ca 1929.
Another great little clock from the NY col-
lection. I would call it original or perfect but
someone would get their jollies out of
challenging me. Solid mahogany case is
18.5" high, two beautiful panels, brass
side rails and brass finial, brass sash
with a bowed glass. Underneath the glass
is a signed silvered dial with raised
numerals, and a pair of original hands. On
the back is a complete paper label. The
movement is 8 day, hour and half hour
strike on a long iron rod, and a correct
pendulum bob. Ly-New Haven #195.

section, and an original glass in the door.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Drop Octagon 12 Inch", ca
1892. Factory date stamped on the back of the nearly
24" high mahogany case. The clock
is extra nice and completely orig-
inal. Most all of the paper label
is inside on the backboard, old
brass bob, correct glasses,
signed painted dial, correct
hands, and the original 8 day
time only movement. The only
thing that detracts is some touch up
on the dial, flakes covered, some
numerals and the name enhanced,
and then the new paint got rubbed
around the outside track. It is cer-
tainly passable as it is, but I am sure
some would want to repaint the dial. Either way, it is a
very good looking clock. Ly-Seth Thomas #1160.
$150-$300.

Mastercrafter Very Rare Swinging Girl in a wood
case, not plastic. I have never seen a
Mastercrafter in a wood case. On
the back is a typical label, complete,
but does not give a model number
or name. Applied to the wood in
front are 8 small pieces of brass
decorations. Good cord, clock runs,
light burns, and the girl swings.
$250-$500.

New Haven Clock Co. hanging gallery clock, "Wood
Lever", ca 1913. Solid oak case is 14" across the back,
10" dial. The oak case is very nice, clean and polished,
about half of the paper label
remains on the back. The dial is
signed, is somewhat soiled and
dirty, three correct hands. The
movement is double wind, 8
day, time only, seconds dial. I
wound it but it did not kick
over. It has not been run in years
so service would be in order. Ly-

German box clock, a little fancier in some ways, but
still a box. The pendulum is worth the minimum, very
large, and has an attractive
woman holding an hour glass.
23" high mahogany case, special
molding around the top, two
glasses, wood beveled around the
glasses. Large dial with an inner
dial that matches the pendulum.
Original hands and gong. 8 day
movement slides into a metal
bracket and thumb screws to tight-
en and hold in place. Movement
and gong base are signed with the
trademark of wings, no name.
$150-$250.

Ansonia Clock Co. an unusual little wall clock, "Salta",
ca 1920. Ansonia said the little 18.5" mahogany case
was "dull finished". There are four
glasses in the front door, flat round
glass over the dial, three beveled glass-
es below. Between the glasses are half
columns with capitals and bases, most
unusual. Near perfect porcelain dial is
signed, original hands, brass dial ring,
original brass bob and wood stick, and
the 8 day time and striking movement.
It strikes a Cathedral gong on half hours
and hours. Just a super little clock. Ly-

German or English box clock, ca 1890. Very nice 23"
mahogany and oak case, miss-
ing the top piece. Etched glass
in the door is very attractive, evi-
dently came loose from its sup-
ports and out man has it taped in
place with iron man tape. The
case has some applied ornaments,
round peep hole glasses on the
side so you can sit and watch the
gears turn. Brass dial pan is cov-
ered with a plastic type dial,
movement posts attached to the
brass dial plate and all slides onto
a back plate attached to the case.
The gong is attached to the back
plate. No signature on the movement
or dial. With the use of mahogany and oak I lean more
to being English made than German. $100-$200.
