Geo. B. Owens walnut parlor clock. Walnut case is
20.5" high, has all the original parts, and has been
cleaned. It is a typical Owens clock, a few
unusual accessories, carvings on the
top, nice etched designs, etched
glass, good brass bell, and an
Owens pendulum. The pendulum
has been painted, the dial is an old
replacement, and the hands are
good. 8 day movement strikes hours
only, on the brass bell. $75-$150.

Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. mission clock, "San Remo",
ca 1913. Gilbert called the finish on the oak case,
"Flemish Mission Oak Finish", whatever
that is. I will say this, I have had
many mission clocks over the
years, but this one is as nice and
original as any I have had. All
the metal parts are clean and
polished, the wood, albeit dark,
is very nice and clean. It is 28"
high, original pendulum bob, origi-
nal ornaments and brass, an 8 day
movement that strikes a bell on the
half hours and a Cathedral gong on
the hours. There is a pretty good
paper label on the back. Ly-Gilbert
#1271. $150-$250.

$100
New Haven Clock Co. "Small Drop Octagon", ca 1880.
The 8 day time only movement is not signed, nor is the
dial, and there is no label on the
clock. Why do I think it was
made by New Haven? Two
things, the position of the
wind arbor, dial design, and
the style of the hands. I would
not bet the farm but I will hold
firm until I am proven wrong.
The old 23" high mahogany
veneered case is very dark and
crusty. Veneer holding good except
a couple of chipped places on the
bottom. Good glasses, pendulum,
door latch, brass bezel, painted dial, and
hands. The case has square nail heads. $150-$250.

$100
French metal clock, statue and clock. The case is about
12" by 12", complete and in excellent condition except
there is no back cover. One piece porcelain dial is per-
fect, original hands, French pendulum,
round 8 day movement, outside
count wheel, bell striking. Clean
movement is signed, "Japy Fils" and
has the date stamped on the move-
ment that it won an award at a trade
show. $150-$250.

$100
German cuckoo clock, 30 hour movement signed,
"Faller / Germany". I sure did not expect it to run but I
hung the weights and it is going and going.
Good movement, bellows, pendu-
lum, chains, and weights. Weight
may not be an exact match, but
close. No back door with
gong, lost in transport. 17"
high case is the fancy type, with a
lot of jig saw work. Top trim was
glued on, I removed the pieces for
easier shipment. $100-$200.

"William S. Johnson, / No.43 Courtlandt St. New
York", ca 1861. No one knows for sure if he made
clocks, assembled clocks, or
bought clocks already made and
sold them. The label inside the
OG case is large and complete.
Nice pair of square iron weights,
old bob, nice painted dial, old
hands, original gong, and 30 hour
brass movement. The outstanding
feature of this clock is the tablet,
a painting signed, "St. Luke's
Church / Hudson St. N.Y.". Very
little paint loss, just a great glass.
Mahogany veneered case is 26"
tall, basically very nice, just a few
tiny veneer chips. As old OG's go,
this one is very nice. $100-$150.

"One Day / Clocks, / Manufactured By / Brewster &
Co., / Bristol, Conn. U.S.A.", ca 1855-1860. Founded
by Elisha C. Brewster who was
connected with several firms in
the Bristol area. Rosewood
veneered case is 26" tall, clean
and nice with the usual veneer
nick or tiny chip mostly around
the edges. Most of the parts have
endured the years exceptionally
well, i.e. the good painted dial,
excellent tablet, very good paper
label, and the smaller items like
the brass bob, iron weights,
hands, gong, and unsigned brass
movement. A good early exam-
ple of the OG. $100-$150.

Ridgeway floor clock, purchased new as a Christmas
present December 1966. We purchased the clock col-
lection after the owners passed. All the clocks
were moved to the garage by the caretak-
ers where I picked them up. The weight
chains were allowed to come off the
sprockets so service will be required. It
might be a good idea to oil the clock
while you are installing the chains
because we do not know how many
years it had been since serviced. All the
original papers are in the clock, and all the
necessary parts to make it complete. The
movement is powered by three large
weights that run the time train, the
Westminster chimes, and the hourly strike
on the hours. The walnut case is 72" tall,
clean and perfect unless I bumped it
hauling to Lexington. It has two door,
two glasses, a removable back cover to
access the movement. The grandchildren
remember it being in the house all their
lives and always running. $150-$300.

$100
German cuckoo clock, 30 hour movement, striking a
coil gong on the backboard, half hours and hours.
Movement is not signed, does have a number, "20",
inscribed. All the 19" high wood case
is original and very nice, correct
pendulum and pair of iron weights.
Dial and hands are good. A
very nice cuckoo and it is run-
ning. $100-$200.

$150
Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Office No. 6", ca 1924. I
believe this is a No.6, but not positive. It is 29" high,
and if a No.6 it is missing a piece of
trim from the top and bottom. What
you see looks good. It has good
glasses, very nice signed dial, cor-
rect hands, old beat scale, replaced
pendulum, and correct door latch.
Not sure if the wood is mahogany
or some other wood stained to look
like mahogany. The movement is
sitting on some new posts, and the
gong has been relocated. That
throws up a red flag, but it is still a
good looking clock. Ly-Seth
Thomas #1077. $150-$300.

E. Ingraham Clock Co. banjo, "Yankee Clipper", ca
1934. Eight day pendulum movement with a two rod
strike. The books show this model with a dif-
ferent throat design. Ours is solid wood in
the center, not glass. Ingraham calls the
case "hand rubbed mahogany finish with
solid brass side rails". This clock also
has a brass eagle on top, brass bezel and
bowed glass over the silver dial with
raised brass numerals. The dial has been
cleaned, which is fine, but it also removed
the black paint of the Ingraham signature.
The case is 31" high, has a good origi-
nal tablet, original fancy pendulum,
door latches, and other case parts. Ly-
Ingraham #240. $200-$300.

Mastercrafter - A complete label on
the back indicates this clock is,
"Model No. 335 Swinging Bird".
The plastic case is a little over 10.5"
tall, has a metal back, very good
electric cord, light illuminates,
clock runs, and the bird swings.
$150-$250.
"Mastercrafters Clock And Radio Company, Chicago,
Ill.", made electric clocks using movements by
Sessions and others, using mostly plastic cases, some
with animated figures and many were illuminated. This
group of seven clocks is complete, near perfect or like
new. Any imperfections or problems will be stated
