$175
Gilded wood cartel clock, made
in Sweden, ca last 50 years. The
movement is signed, "Wester
-
strands / Made in Sweden". There
are serial numbers and other
inscriptions inside the wood case,
and the bowed metal dial is simi-
larly signed. The carved decora-
tions on top, the sides and bottom,
are attached to the case body that
houses the 8 day movement.
Metal back covers, bowed glass
and sash over the bowed dial, and
nice decorative hands. The vari-
ous carved objects are nice look-
ing and are covered with a bright
gold finish. The wood case is
about 21" high, in very nice con-
dition but there is some flaking of
the gold on the top piece, every-
where else is near perfect. I sus-
pect the top ornament that is held
in place by one small peg, has
fallen several times and the gold has chipped. There are no breaks, just
paint chips. $250-$500.

$125
Junghans RA wall clock, with bell
on top, ca 1900. Top missing, no
finials, one side glass missing, oth-
erwise the case is fine. As it is the
walnut case is 26" high. Two piece
plastic like dial is crinkled, signed
by Junghans, old hands, beat scale,
and nice ornate pendulum bob. The
bell on top is held by a bracket,
would be hidden by the top, if there
was one. Movement is 8 day, strikes
the bell of course, and I did not test
for running. The movement is com-
plete and probably needs service,
key inside. $125-$200.

$200
French box clock with Westminster
chimes. Silver dial is signed, "Vedette
/ Missiaen / Elbeuf", has original
hands, dial near perfect. The move-
ment is signed simply, "Brevette /
S.D.A.G.", which means, "Patent"
and company. The 8 day movement is
large, has 8 strike hammers, mounted
to a slide in seat board. Needs work
on the suspension, otherwise in very
good operating condition, and is
complete. Label of instruction on the
door, in French. Walnut case is 28"
long, silver metal strips on the sides,
silver separating the lower glasses, all
silver matching the dial and pendu-
lum. The lower leaded glasses are
also beveled. Nice inexpensive wall
clock. $250-$350.

$50
French brass cased wall clock.
Lions head ornaments on the
sides, both front and back doors
are hinged. The large beveled
glass in front is cracked and
chipped. Porcelain dial will clean
up, small chips around the wind-
ing arbor, and hands are probably
not correct. The brass case is
about 10" wide; dial a little over
6" wide. Small 8-day time only
movement, fixed pendulum, not
signed anywhere. $50-$100.

$200
French cast cartel clock, 20"
high, very heavy, and painted a
brass color. 8 day French move-
ment, round plates, bell strike,
signed, "Japy Freres". Metal
sash with beveled glass over the
back, pendulum and key inside.
Good beveled glass covering
the one piece porcelain dial.
The glass, dial, and hands, are
all very good. The dial is signed
by a retail dealer, I cannot read
it. Two large cupids on top, one
arm missing. Flowers and vines
on the sides, two tassels on the
bottom. A very heavy clock.
$250-$500.

$150
Austrian oval gallery clock, 15½"
high, 13½" wide. This all wood
case is very attractive, painted
ebony except for the ring around
the outside of the dial. The ring
has etched designs of leaves and
vines. The inner dial is shaped
like an inverted plate, it also has
etched leaves and vines, just not
as pronounced as those outside.
Numerals are thin brass strips
nailed to the case, and it has great
brass hands. The back door is
cuckoo style with a coil gong
attached to the removable door.
Clean brass movement, silk
thread suspended pendulum, outside count wheel in the center of back
plate. Springs are enclosed and judging by the size of the barrels I would
guess it is a typical Austrian 2 or 3 day running movement. It is not
signed, key and pendulum in the case. $250-$500.
