Seth Thomas Clock Co. a City
Series clock, the "Omaha", ca
1886. Walnut case is 19" high,
gold striping around the door, bal-
cony railing on top, and all the
wood is original. It is unusual to
see a ST dial this old and not flak-
ing badly. Only one small flake
showing. This clock is 8 day time,
strike, and alarm. It strikes hours,
and alarms, on the same nickeled
bell. All the nickel and brass parts
were polished including the dial
rings, alarm ring, bell, pendulum
bob and pendulum leader. Brass
movements, beat scale, and glass,
are all clean and original. The 8
day movement was serviced and is
in excellent running condition.
This is one of the better Omaha
clocks we have sold. Ly-Seth
Thomas, page 202. $300-$500.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. a City
Series clock, the "Mobile", ca 1894.
Excellent walnut case is 22" high,
has been cleaned and polished.
There is some interesting carvings
and grooves on the top, sides, and
base. Additionally, there are applied
wood buttons and other ornaments
about the case. The brass parts
including the pendulum bob, pendu-
lum leader, beat scale, cathedral
gong, and dial rings, are clean and
polished. There is a new paper dial
on the old dial pan, and the glass is
a replacement. The eight day move-
ment is running strong and striking
a Cathedral gong each hour. It
should have an alarm movement,
but it is missing. We would expect
this clock to fetch near $600 if it had
the alarm movement. Ly-Seth Thomas #560. $250-$350.

Seth Thomas Clock Co. marine
clock built for the U.S. Navy, ca
1941. The movement is their most
accurate 11-jewel marine clock
movement made in America, so
said the ST company. It is housed
in a very heavy nickeled case, 4"
high, 6" wide at the base, ½" wide
on the bezel, and has a 3" time
track. Black dial with phosphorus
coated numerals, time tracks, and
hands. The dial is signed, "Mark I-
Boat Clock / U.S.Navy / N 1 9 2 6, 1940 / Made by Seth Thomas In
U.S.A." The case has a large hinge on the left side, screw down lock on
the right side allowing the clock to swing away from the base to access
the various winding arbors and slow-fast adjuster. It is running but the
stop and set functions are not working properly. The previous owner says
this clock was taken from a Navy vessel prior to it being scuttled after
WWII. Ly-Seth Thomas #2645, values at $675. $250-$500.
